The First Visit

Study models are created from the impressions, and the dentist uses these to plan the movement of each tooth.

The duration depends on the problem, the complexity of the case, and the type of device. The doctor will give you an estimate after the consultation and after reviewing the X-rays.
Panoramic X-rays and lateral cephalometric X-rays show the roots of the teeth, the bone, and the relationship between the jaws. Without them, treatment cannot be planned properly.
Teeth tend to return to their original position. Retainers help maintain the results achieved, which is why your dentist tells you how long you need to wear them.
Often, yes. Brackets are bonded to the crowns with a special adhesive. The dentist assesses whether the bridges allow the teeth to move.
Avoid very hard foods (nuts, pistachios) and sticky foods (candy, gum), which can dislodge your braces. Hard fruits, such as apples, should be eaten in slices.
In the first few days, braces may cause some mild discomfort. You'll be given orthodontic wax to cover the areas that are bothering you until your mouth gets used to them.
