Dental implants
All-On-6®
All-on-4
All-On-6® / All-On-4 dental implant procedures allow a patient to replace all of their teeth with 6 or 4 natural-looking dental implants. These implants typically do not require bone grafting, making them an ideal solution for patients with low bone density or volume in the jaw. Over time, the implants placed in the jaw will fuse with the bone, restoring a natural smile.
Dental implants
Individual dental implants – a fixed solution for replacing a single tooth
A single dental implant is the most effective solution when one tooth, or a few separate teeth, are missing. The implant acts as an artificial titanium root placed in the bone, onto which a natural-looking crown is later fitted.
It is a quick, minimally invasive procedure and provides excellent long-term stability without affecting neighboring teeth.
When is a dental implant recommended?
- when a tooth is missing and a fixed solution is desired, which looks and functions like a natural tooth;
- to avoid filing down the neighbouring teeth (which a bridge requires);
- to prevent tooth migration and bone loss in the edentulous area;
- when the patient desires maximum comfort and superior aesthetics.
How does the procedure take place?
- The implant is inserted into the bone under local anesthesia.
- Over the following months, it naturally integrates into the bone.
- After healing, the prosthetic abutment and the definitive crown are installed.
The end result is a stable, functional and very aesthetic tooth.
How much does a dental implant cost?
The price of a dental implant depends on the system chosen. Each brand has different technical features and warranties, and the cost reflects these aspects.
Dental implant prices (prosthetic abutment included):
- Megagen Anyridge Implant – 4,000 lei
- Straumann implant – 4500 lei
- Neobiotech implant – 3,500 lei
Thus, the cost for an individual dental implant ranges between 3,500 and 4,500 lei, depending on the type of implant chosen.
All-On-6/4® Dental Implants
All-On-6® / All-On-4 dental implant procedures allow a patient to replace all of their teeth with 6 or 4 natural-looking dental implants. These implants typically do not require bone grafting, making them an ideal solution for patients with low bone density or volume in the jaw. Over time, the implants placed in the jaw will fuse with the bone, restoring a natural smile.
How dental implants work
The All-on-6 dental implant procedure creates a permanent prosthesis using six dental implants, while All-on-4 uses only four. The implants act as anchors for a bridge or overdenture. They are placed in the jawbone (lower or upper) to anchor the dental prosthesis permanently.
The All-on procedure is recommended for patients who wear conventional dentures , for those whose teeth need to be extracted, and for those who need a full rehabilitation of the upper or lower jaw.
How long it takes
The procedure takes about 2–3 hours and is performed under local anaesthesia. The temporary fixed restoration is attached 24 hours after placement of the implants, and the final fixed restoration is made after about 3 months; your dentist will explain anything specific to your case. This time allows the dental implants to integrate into the bone and complete the healing process.
Costs
All-on-4 – prices from 14,000 lei

Bone grafting – what is it and why is it needed?
For a dental implant to be stable and durable, it needs enough bone to anchor it in. In some situations, the jawbone may be too thin, too low, or damaged from an old extraction, periodontal disease, or trauma.
In such cases, bone augmentation is recommended – a procedure that adds bone material to the area where it is missing, to create the necessary base for implant insertion.
Why does bone loss occur?
Bone loss is common when:
- the tooth was extracted a long time ago;
- there is periodontal disease (periodontitis);
- the patient has removable prostheses that no longer support the bone;
- there are dental infections or old traumas.
Without sufficient bone, the implant cannot be stable and cannot last long-term.
How is bone grafting done?
The procedure is simple and is performed under local anesthesia. The surgeon adds bone material (the patient's own or special biomaterial) to the deficient area. This will stimulate the natural regeneration of the bone, and in a few months it will fully integrate.
Types of bone grafting include:
- local bone graft (for small defects);
- internal or external sinus lift, when the bone loss is in the upper back teeth area;
- more extensive bone grafts, in case of large volume losses.
Benefits of bone grafting
- Creates optimal support for dental implants.
- Prevents gum deformities and aesthetic changes to the face.
- It restores the possibility of having fixed teeth again, even in areas with significant bone loss.
- Provides long-term stability to dental work.
Is it a painful procedure?
No. Bone grafting is done under local anaesthesia, and patients describe it as comfortable. Afterwards there may be slight swelling or discomfort, which goes away within a few days.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is an artificial root, usually made of biocompatible titanium, that replaces the natural root of a missing tooth and serves as a support for a crown, bridge, or denture. The implant integrates with the jawbone, providing stability and functionality similar to that of a natural tooth.
Pain during treatment — is it painful?
The implant insertion is performed under local anesthesia, similar to that used for tooth extractions, so the patient does not feel any pain during the procedure. Postoperative discomfort is generally mild and can be controlled with medication recommended by the doctor.
How long does the dental implant procedure take?
On average, implant placement takes approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the complexity of the case. For more complex work (e.g. ALL-ON-4/ALL-ON-6) more detailed planning may be required.
How long does it take for the implant to heal and integrate?
After placement, the implant fuses with the jawbone in a process called osseointegration, which can take 2 to 6 months, depending on bone quality and clinical conditions.
Can dental implants be rejected?
It is very rare for the body to reject an implant, but healing problems can occur if there are infections or inadequate oral hygiene. The titanium from which implants are made is an extremely well-tolerated material.
